Are you an experienced housing or support professional with a passion for empowering young people to achieve independence? Do you have the skills to lead, motivate and support a frontline team delivering high-quality housing-related support?

GIPSIL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Housing Support Worker to join our OWL Dispersed Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within Our Way Leeds (OWL), a partnership delivering innovative housing and support services for young people across Leeds.

About the Service

Our Way Leeds (OWL) is a consortium-led service providing a range of interventions to prevent homelessness and support young people, including care leavers, young families, couples and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. GIPSIL is the lead provider alongside Inspire North and Turning Lives Around.

Our approach is trauma-informed, restorative and centred on the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to delivering an inclusive service where young people are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

As Senior Housing Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of Housing Support Workers while maintaining a reduced caseload of young people living in dispersed accommodation. You will work closely with the Dispersed & Voids Service Manager to ensure high-quality service delivery, effective safeguarding, strong partnership working and positive outcomes for young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of frontline Housing Support Workers.
  • Providing housing-related support to young people as they move towards independent living.
  • Managing risk, safeguarding concerns and complex support needs.
  • Supporting the effective management of housing resources, voids and rent arrears.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensuring high standards of record keeping, quality assurance and contract compliance.
  • Championing restorative practice, trauma-informed approaches and a "no wrong door" ethos.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about empowering young people.
  • Inclusive, proactive and solution focused.
  • Committed to equity, social justice and the principle of "no wrong door".
  • Adaptable, reflective and resilient in a dynamic environment.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people facing housing challenges while developing your leadership skills within a respected and innovative service. You'll join a supportive organisation committed to learning, reflective practice, inclusion and high-quality support.

We welcome applications from individuals who share our commitment to supporting young people and creating positive opportunities for their futures.
